Save the mumbles big apple kiosk

This past monday night (3rd August 2009) an accident occured involving a ford fiesta crashing into the apple shaped kiosk at Mumbles.
Opened in the 1930's and located on the corner of mumbles road between mumbles pier and Bracelet bay. This quirky apple shaped concrete kiosk was originally created as an advertising initiative to promote an apple cider drink to visitors to the pier and surrounding beaches.
The role of this kiosk has changed somewhat since the 1930's as it is now used to sell drinks, ice cream and beach items such as buckets and spades during the summer months.
It is no suprise to me that it has been hit by a car as it is located so close to the road which so many young people speed through.
The owners of the apple (Ameco, who also own the Mumbles pier) are debating whether or not to repair the damage as it may involve specialist work to create a new mold due to the way the apple was constructed back in the 1930's.
This landmark has been present for as long as I can remember and I would be sad to see it demolished.
