February thoughts
Well, it's been a while since I last blogged on here. A lot has been going on since christmas including a lot of 9-5 work, playing football, walks up mountains and the odd development here and there on this web site.
In early december I decided to create a new feature for this web site based on fishing. I have a love for fishing (especially sea fishing in and around gower) so had an idea to create a feature to enable me to create and publish reports of my fishing trips. The feature enables me to select the date of the trip, name it, set weather conditions and select where I fished and what I caught in those locations. I can also select the weight of each fish I caught. This data can then be queried and analysed afterwards.
I came to the conclusion after much thought that it would be best to open this feature up to the public so anyone can create and publish their fishing reports. The reason behind this is because of the analysis. Having more than one person post reports would obviously give better results as opposed to just one person.
At this time there is only one report published (mine) so it's not looking too clever at the moment. This is partly due to the fact that i'm so busy with my day time job and other personal activities that I don't have time. However, I am hoping to push for more people to use the web site when I visit the Swansea area again after after february (when the family caravan opens up). I will be looking forward to it as over the past year I probably havn't visited as much as i'd have liked (for various reasons).
Look out for more blogs from me in the future as i'll be making the most of out this while i'm busy with other things - it's the best way to communicate with my audience!
Until the next blog..
