Walk to Pwlldu Bay

On saturday we decided to take a walk to Pwlldu Bay. We parked the car at Pyle corner and walked down through the woods to the stream at the bottom. We then turned right, following the path next to the stream for approximately 20-30 minutes.

The stream then turned away from the path for a little while. We then approached a small bridge which we crossed and continued our journey over the pebbles to the beach.

And what a view it was! It was one of the nicest days of this year so far and the sea was as calm as anything..

We did meet a gentleman by the name of Brian Watkins who was also taking photographs of the beach. It was a pleasure meeting him and he is also using this web site to share his photography work. http://brianjwatkinsphotography.com

Sean Chilcott wrote on Monday, 20th of July 2009 very nice walk,but wondering if i went the wrong way!!!!! we parked by the church then into the woods but no visible path,basically getting into the stream and jumping from stone to stone untill tje stream goes underground,very muddy after all the latest rain,but the beach at the end was worth the dirty boots,unfortunately my other half(not always the better one)decided that we were walking the clean way on our return leg,so it was up the path that leads to bishopston.we will most definately do this walk again,but as i am off work all week tommorow we shall be going out on the worm,cant wait.
