Mewslade bay
Mewslade bay is a secluded beach surrounded by cliffs and rocks, located in south Gower near Rhossili. Mew is welsh for seagull and so this is where the name comes from.
When the tide is fully in, the beach disappears so it is advisable to check the local tide times when planning a trip to this beach.
Access to the beach can be gained by walking down from the car park at the farm, through the woods and across the slade at the bottom. Extra care must be taken whilst walking down the Slade and onto the rocks because it can get quite slippy, especially when the tide has just been in. It is advisable to wear walking shoes and not flip flops when doing this.
Access can also be gained by walking over the headland/cliffs from fall bay on the west.
